Dr. Adam Perlman believes that true health and wellness transformation starts with a deep and honest exploration of what we value. He is a big proponent of intentional thinking and action to optimize your health and feel your best. The former Associate VP of Health & Wellness for The Duke University Health System, he is currently an adjunct professor at Duke University School of Medicine and Director of their Leadership Program in Integrative Healthcare.

The Leadership Program in Integrative Healthcare at Duke University is building a network of leaders who are creating a culture of health and well-being.  Despite have an expensive health care system, the United States ranks last upon top industrialized countries on measures of system quality, access to care and healthy lives. However integrative healthcare has a proven track record for addressing these issues and creating a significant impact on people’s health as well as on the healthcare system. Participants of this one year program gather for three in-person immersions. During this time they receive personalized leadership mentoring and learn strategies for integrating sustainable models of integrative health care. Participants are also paired with faculty from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business for a personalized business mentorship experience.

Dr. Perlman is also the past Chair of the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health, comprised of over 75 leading academic medical centers around the country. Prior to his work with Duke, Dr. Perlman was Executive Director for the Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he was Associate Professor of Medicine.
